Lorena Bucur (Cremona, 1996) lives and works in Bologna. She trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles. In her work the themes of greatest interest are of a political and social nature. The main element and technique of her artistic vision is photography, which she employs thanks to the use of Soviet analogue cameras received from her family, born and raised in Romania. Her research takes shape in the peripheral areas, and then reconnects to the urban space.

Industrial fabrics impressed with shots of the surrounding natural environment, iron rods, photographs transferred to concrete, aluminum sheets that act as a support are some of her work's outcomes.

The restitution of this double landscape is completed by her in the form of multimedia installations.
